Terms & Conditions - Hiring Costumes
Ownership:
All costumes are the property of Charlie Vegas Ltd.
Availability:
All costumes are subject to availability. Charlie Vegas Ltd reserves the right to withdraw from hire any costume without notice.
Prices:
Prices are correct at publication. Charlie Vegas Ltd reserves the right to amend prices without notice. On existing orders, should a price decrease Charlie Vegas Ltd is not bound to refund the difference. Similarly, should a price increase Charlie Vegas Ltd is not bound to sell/hire at the previous lower price.
All prices subject to VAT at 17.5%, unless otherwise indicated.
Payment:
Payment must be made in full prior to hire.
A costume is only deemed booked when full payment has been made.
Payment can be made by credit / debit card, cheque or BACS/Bank Transfer.
School & Local Authority purchase orders are welcome.
Cancellation:
In the event of cancellation of hire by the customer the following charges will apply:
Less than 1 week before hire date - full hire price (less delivery) will be retained.
Cancellation between 1 - 2 weeks before hire date - 50% of hire price will be retained.
Cancellation over 2 weeks before hire date - full refund.
Charlie Vegas Ltd reserve the right (prior to shipment) to decline, reject or similarly cancel an order without notice & will refund any payment in full.
Security Deposit
A security deposit will be charged for each costume hired.
Part or all of deposit will, at Charlie Vegas Ltd’s discretion, be forfeited in the following circumstances:
Non return of costume
Late return of costume
The need for significant repair, cleaning or replacement of part/all of costume.
Failed delivery to/pick up from customer by courier.

Product size/description:
The sizes that are shown are based upon our manufacturers’ advice. They are a guide only.
Images:
Every effort is made to keep images up to date. Charlie Vegas & its manufacturers do however, reserve the right to modify colour or product specification without notice.
Product Guarantee:
We offer a no quibbles refund policy should a customer not be entirely satisfied with their costume. Customers must contact Charlie Vegas ltd by phone or e-mail by midnight on the day that they receive their costume if they wish to qualify for a refund or replacement costume.
Delivery:
The customer will be advised which day they can expect delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that they can receive delivery on the appointed day. No refund will be given if the courier arrives at customer address & the customer (or their representative) is not available to receive the delivery.
The standard delivery time is 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Upgraded time & Saturday deliveries are available by arrangement with & payment to Charlie Vegas Ltd prior to despatch.
Receipt is deemed to be from when the costume is signed for at the delivery address.
Delivery is by 3rd party carriers. Whilst Charlie Vegas ltd regrets any late delivery by courier companies we do not accept responsibility for late/non arrival of goods or costs incurred by customer . This includes damage in transit, strike action & any other carrier fault out of our control.
Costume Return
The hire price includes return delivery by courier. This will be arranged by Charlie Vegas. The customer will be informed of the return arrangements. It is the customers reponsibility to have costume ready for pick up & to ensure that the parcel can be handed to the courier on his/her arrival. If a collection has to be re-arranged Charlie Vegas will make a £25 charge(per re-arrangement) against the customer's deposit.The responsibility for the costume remains the customers until the costume is delivered & signed for at the offices of Charlie Vegas Ltd.
Security:
The customers is responsible for the security of the costume whilst in their care.
The customer must not sell, relinquish possession, repair or modify the costume without the written consent of Charlie Vegas Ltd.
Safe Use:
The customer must use the costume responsibly & in the manner that it is designed for.
It should only be worn by an adult. The costume should not be worn under the following (but not exclusive) conditions: whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs, in the presence of a naked flame or for excessive periods of time.
Particular care should be taken when climbing & descending stairs etc. & running.
Liability:
Wearing the costume is at the customers own risk, Charlie Vegas Ltd accept no liability for injuries sustained whilst wearing a costume.
Charlie Vegas Ltd accept no liability for product defects arising from fair wear & tear, wilful damage, negligence, misuse or costume alteration.
Charlie Vegas Ltd accept no responsibility or cost for any expenses incurred by the customer over & above the cost to hire their costume(s) from us & postage if charged.
Credit Card Security:
Charlie Vegas Ltd does not hold details of customer’s credit/debit cards.
Privacy:
Charlie Vegas Ltd does not share customer’s personal details with any 3rd party.
Acceptance of Terms:
By booking & paying for a costume, a customer accepts these conditions of hire.

Cancellation:
You may cancel an order prior to shipping.
If order has already been despatched, the customer can cancel the order up to 7 working days after receipt of purchase. You must return goods to Charlie Vegas Ltd in an unused state.
Cancellation can be by telephone or e-mail during office hours of 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday. Cancellation by e-mail will be effective from time of reading.
Charlie Vegas Ltd reserve the right (prior to shipment) to decline, reject or similarly cancel an order without notice & will refund any payment in full.
Timescales:
Most costumes are made to order & can take up to 3 weeks to be delivered.
Should a costume take longer than 3 weeks, the customer will be informed, whereupon they can exercise their right to amend or cancel their order.

Unless previously arranged with Charlie Vegas Ltd, costumes are returned at the customer’s expense. Costumes should be sent by Courier, Royal Mail Special Delivery or Parcelforce 24 service & proof of posting/tracking number should be obtained. The responsibility for the costume remains the customers until the costume is delivered & signed for at the offices of Charlie Vegas Ltd.
Refunds will only be given when costume has been delivered & signed for at the offices of Charlie Vegas Ltd.
